New powers must rise to save or damn Urte, and on the mighty Leviathan Bridge itself, all will be decided. I’m the author of both mass market and YA fantasy novels: The Moontide Quartet is a 4-book fantasy series set on the imaginary world of Urte, and is an East meets West novel of magic and war. The time has come for the Rite of Ascendancy to be performed. But standing between her and her goal is a band of deadly mercenaries playing a dangerous game of their own.Īnd in the East, Seth Korion's Lost Legions must navigate treacherous roads to gain safety, bearing secrets that could bring down the Emperor. In Javon, Cera Nesti, the imprisoned queen, has been freed, and plots to take on the overwhelming might of the Rondian Empire. Mage's Blood: The Moontide Quartet, Book 1 Audible Audiobook Unabridged David Hair (Author), Nick Podehl (Narrator), Brilliance Audio (Publisher) & 0 more 4. They have lost the Scytale of Corineus, the key to the Rite of Ascendancy, as well as one of Ramita's infant sons, to the hands of their deadliest enemies.

After the great time I had with Heir of Fire, I’ve decided to take the plunge on the short story anthology for this series. The last few months of the moontide-when the bridge connecting East and West rises above the sea-has come, and in the West Emperor Constant prepares the final phase of his plan to conquer the East.įor failed mage Alaron and his companion Ramita-widow to the mage who built the Leviathan Bridge-the unthinkable has happened. The Assassin’s Blade– Got this audiobook as another cheap Whispersync deal. This has been sitting on my to-read list for a while, and I saw there was a good Whispersync deal, and added the audio version for ~$3. Moontide Quartet Series Book 1 Mages Blood Audiobook Part 1 The Vampire Gift 4 Audiobook. But there’s a better chance I’ll get to them if I buy the audiobook. This is just one of the solutions for you to be successful. The Scorched Earth– I’ll probably never be able to finish all the ebooks I’ve ever bought, and I’ve come to accept that. The Messenger is a short story set in that world, and I was actually surprised to see it available for US Kindle, so of course I grabbed it. A scarlet tide of Rondian legions is flooding into the East, led by the Inquisition’s windships flying the Sacred H.

The Moontide has come and the Leviathan Bridge stands open: now thrones will shake and hearts will be torn apart in a world at war. Unfortunately, still no US release date yet, and the sequel Retributionis already on the horizon. Check out this great listen on Audible.ca. The Messenger – Last year a great book came out from Tor UK called Drakenfeld. But I do have a couple books to feature for the digital pile: No new eARCs while I’m still on my self-imposed digital galleys ban, at least until I can chisel down my NetGalley TBR. I was sent this edition courtesy of Quercus USA and Wunderkind PR, and I just wanted to show it side by side with my US HC of the first book Mage’s Blood to marvel at that amazing detail and embossment. I’m definitely not going to wait as long to read this one!Īnd speaking of The Moontide Quartet, book two Scarlet Tides was also just released in the US with a similar looking cover than the UK, except in beautiful hardback. I just finished the second book of the Moontide Quartet (be sure to keep an eye out for my review of Scarlet Tidesnext week!) and so I was thrilled to see that Jo Fletcher Books had sent me book three. Unholy War – This was another precious gem that was waiting for me when I got home from my road trip. I had a coupon for them from a while back, and decided to get a whole bunch of books for my daughter with it (because children’s books can be so expensive elsewhere!) and I just couldn’t help tossing in something for myself. I’ve wanted to read Martha Wells’ Books of the Raksurabooks for a long time! Not sure if jumping right into this novella collection is going to be a good idea because I’m afraid I might get lost, but I’m going to give it a shot anyway.Įlisha Barber– A purchase from the wonderful Book Outlet. Stories of the Raksura– I was pretty psyched when Night Shade Books sent this one along. I hear this is the third and final book, and I’m looking forward to see how it ends.

Poison Fruit– I’m so excited to read this I’m a big fan of Jacqueline Carey and her urban fantasy series Agent of Hel has been a lot of fun so far. Unfortunately I haven’t read the first two books, but there’s a good chance I may go back to read them. The Seventh Sigil – Third book to the Dragon Brigadetrilogy which showed up unexpectedly from Tor, and was waiting for me when I returned from my trip out of town a couple weeks ago. Welcome to this biweekly feature where I showcase all the books I bought/won/received for review in the past fortnight.
